Credits on LaunchLoop are the platform's way of paying both sides of the loop. Founders need visibility. Supporters bring attention, taste, and feedback. Credits sit in the middle: they are how attention gets translated into something that can be spent without anyone having to reach for a credit card every time.

Earn as a supporter or a founder

Every account on LaunchLoop earns credits by leaving thoughtful written reviews on other launches, with daily and monthly caps to keep the system from collapsing into farming. Generic comments and abusive patterns, botting, self-upvoting, coordinated comment chains, are filtered before credits are issued, not retroactively clawed back. The intent is to make the system feel like a thank-you, not a points game.

Spend on visibility

On the spending side, credits unlock the paid surfaces of the platform. A Boost, a SuperBoost, a full Relaunch, all of them can be redeemed with credits at a published rate that does not change without notice. There are no hidden fees, no expiring buckets, and no “premium” credits. A credit is a credit.

A real ledger

The account/credits page is, in our view, the most important piece of this system. It shows every credit transaction your account has ever generated, with a reason, a source, and a timestamp. The descriptions are written in plain English: “Earned credits for upvoting Tally” rather than “+5 credits, event #84219.” The page reads more like a bank statement than a points dashboard, on purpose.

What credits never do

Credits never buy votes. Credits never buy reviews. Credits never change the leaderboard. They buy attention windows, only. That separation is deliberate, and it is the line that keeps the loop honest. If you ever feel like a boosted product is sitting at the top of a ranking it did not earn, that is a bug, and we want to hear about it.

Why no gifting, no marketplace

A few features were considered and intentionally left out. There is no credit gifting: too easy to abuse without proper trust signals. There is no credit marketplace: credits stay tied to the platform's own surfaces. And there is no expiry date on earned credits. The conservative reading won every time.
